After posting an angry rant, I unfortunately have to follow up with sad news: Stu Hart died today at 88 years of age.

Stu was brought to the Rockyview General Hospital on October 3rd, suffering from an elbow infection. That infection became pneumonia.

Stu was pre-deceased by his wife Helen last year. He was the patriarch to the incredible Hart family legacy in wrestling, with many of today's other wrestling stars (including Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and Lance Storm) former students at his Dungeon training facility.

Man, was Smackdown! crap tonight!

I read that the audience in Columbus, Ohio were loudly booing the show. Now, having seen it, I don't blame them. In a 2-hour show, they got a whopping FOUR matches. Counting the dark matches, they got more for Velocity. 6 for the B-level show, and only 4 (short ones) for the main televised event!

If I'd been the one who paid hard-gained money to sit through another f-ing Vince McMahon promo (he probably won't lose the I Quit match on Sunday, but I can dream), 15 minutes of bad acting by Stephanie, and a boatload of promos and skits... I'd want my money back.

Yes, their energies are probably devoted to their PPV - but if so, this show did nothing to entice any more purchases of the event.

RAW yesterday made the distinction between faces and heels even murkier. Shane McMahon attempts to murder Kane, and he's still a good guy. Now Stone Cold Steve Austin Stuns Stacy Keibler and he's still cheered. Ex-squeeze me?

At least the show had some good stuff. We got a long table match with the return of Booker T, and he came out looking strong. We also got a nice "heel turn, but not" for Shawn Michaels. I'm almost positive his Superkick was just a case of returning the favor of Goldberg's Spear.

Sorry I haven't posted anything here the past few weeks. A large part of that is due to the sub-par product of late put out by the WWE.

Let's start by looking at RAW. By all rights, Kane would be dead from that car accident. I can't see any realistic way for him to come back. Plus after the true death of Owen Hart in the ring, it was in very poor taste.

From a booking standpoint, how do you keep Kane a heel (and Shane McMahon a face) after this? You can't come away from this feeling happy about Kane being injured like this. It just makes the whole scene murkier

Add the fact that it overshone the actual matches (you know, wrestlers wrestle WWE), cutting out much of the Scott Steiner vs. Spike Dudley bout. Granted, any reason not to see Scott is a good thing in my book, but it just feels wrong for setting a story flow.

Speaking of Steiner, the bellyto-belly suplex has now become a banned move. I suspect he's the reason (the Steiner Brothers have often been known for legitimately hurting people in the ring. They're almost as careless as Goldberg) but it does make his limited arsenal moreso.

Smackdown! isn't faring much better of late. Trying to push A-Train down our throats again never works to please... but this whole storyline of Eddie Guerrero and The Big Show centering around poop? I'm glad I tape the shows for my viewing, so I can skip these segments.
