I'm probably one of the last people to say this, but: Rey Mysterio Jr. had one of the coolest debuts since Tajiri months ago. Leaping out of a smoke cloud was a very dramatic way to come in.

I think he's wearing tinted contacts too; I don't remember him ever having ice-blue eyes. If that's the case, I think that may be a bit of gimmick overkill... but it doesn't take away from the fact his first match was amazing.

I'm hoping this means a shot in the arm of the Cruiserweight division.

Monday's RAW was a show with a lot of surprises both puzzling and intriguing...

First, the unification of the European and Intercontinental titles. It's sad to see the belt that Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith held in the past eliminated, but it's been an insignificant title since. One less title to dilute the champion waters I guess.

Also interesting was (I'm guessing) the debut of the Island Boyz. These guys looked impressive in the ring. I hope this is the first sign that the tag team championship will go between shows though... if not, they are wasted on RAW.

Triple H turning heel again was a good decision. He just isn't cut out for the face role. How it was done is strange though. Turning on Shawn Michaels? What does that really bring? Unless it means that Shawn will soon be wrestling again (not a safe thing, considering his back), or that he'll soon be managing a strong face to send after Hunter, then this too is pointless

I don't like the new announcing booth. Especially when Eric was in it, it felt too much like the return of Nitro as far as visuals go.

Now, the big "Huh?" change: Brock Leznar going to Smackdown!? I'm hoping this means more Smackdown! talent will be switching over soon... RAW is in sore need of star power, and Brock was being built up as one for them.
