This seems to be a Smackdown! week for me!

This week was one for Velocity talent. Although Mark Jindrak was no more interesting here, that Paul London and Billy Kidman got to be on - and won the tag titles to boot! - was a good sign. I'm hoping that as champions they get a good run, and get to stay on the bigger show even after they drop the straps. They add some spice into a moribund tag team division.

I was puzzled to see Nunzio and Johnny Stamboli among the faces. I guess they're the next "Huh?" switch after Rico.

I think by stripping John Cena of the US Title Kurt Angle has earned the top butt-muncher title too. :)

Overall, this week's show was a step in the right direction for me.

I spoke too soon about the Mordecai / Rey match setting up a feud... I'm hearing it was the end of the gimmick. I've been hearing that Kevin (Mordecai) Fertig is going back to OVW, possibly to re-start his Seven character.

Retiring a gimmick doesn't mean WWE is through with him... look at Kane: Glenn Jacobs started as Isaac Yankem DDS in the fed, then the fake Diesel, before getting this gimmick. It's just a matter of finding something that works.

I haven't posted here in over a week. Whenever I got fired up to do so, Smackdown! killed all my interest.

A feud between John Cena and Kenzo Suzuki might be interesting - if Cena's routine didn't focus on poop. That's when it really gets juvenile to me. Interesting how now two feuds for Cena (this and Booker T) are based on rhymes about bowel movement...

If they are setting up a feud between Mordekai and the much-more talented Rey Mysterio Jr., that could really blow - especially if Rey ultimately has to job for the big lug. Can Vince please grasp the concept of cruiserweights being worth more than as jobber fodder for bigger guys?

At least if logic prevails Eddie Guerrero will retake the World title from Bradshaw next week - but logic doesn't seem to work in Titan-land...
