The whole "believe it when I see it" rumor about Bret Hart coming back to lead the WCW invasion storyline was just that - a rumor.

Wrestling Observer stated that while the WWF sent out the offer to Bret, he never answered them. He still holds the McMahon (Vince) in major contempt.

Glad I didn't call it a fait acompli!

The WCW invasion continued on RAW tonight, with Hugh Morris appearing, hitting a moonsault (don't know if they still call it 'No Laughing Matter' or not) on Christian duriung the opening IC Title match against Kane.

My only quibble: Christian didn't seem to sell it much. I think that kills some heat for the feud, since the guys don't seem so effective.

HART RUMORED FOR WCW INVASION

Bob Ryder of 1wrestling.com broke the story earlier today that according to a source very close to the situation, Bret Hart has agreed to be a part of WCW in the invasion angle that will transpire on WWF TV over the next few weeks. This absolutely shocking news was said to be put together this past week thanks to the effort of WWF Canada President Carl Demarco, a long time friend of the Harts. As of right now, there are no additional news regarding this weird and unbelievable situation apart from Ryder's comments. McMahon and Bret Hart working together once again after all they've been through? Personally, I'll take an 'I'll believe it when I see it' approach. No other sources confirmed this news as of yet, so for now, take it as you want.

(Personally, I'm leaning that way too. - Jeff)
