Like many other fans, I viewed WWF Armageddon last night... if I had to sum it up in a one-word description, I'd have to choose disappointing. To choose another word, I'd add predictable.

There was really nothing noteworthy about the show. Edge and Christian becoming four-time tag champs? Eh. Chris Benoit winning the Intercontinental title again? Saw that coming, and the match itself wasn't even surprising. Chris Jericho beats Kane in a Last Man Standing match? The match itself felt rushed and sloppy. Even the fact that Y2J has now beaten both members of a former dominant tag team isn't that exciting.

Don't even get me started on the almost non-existant Womens' Title bout. If you blinked, you missed it.

By far the most disappointing thing was the Main Event, the 6-man Hell in a Cell. It wasn't as bad as the one with The Undertaker and The Big Bossman a few years back, but it still lacked sizzle.

Right away, the announcement of this match made it sound like it had the potential to be a massive clusterfrick. Like a Battle Royal, you can't follow every bit of the ring action at once. Also, outside of the participants all blading, the match lacked the brutality they built up for it. Rikishi took the Big Bump of the night, but even that was predictable once Vince McMahon brought out the padded truck.

The only mildly interesting thing about this match was the Taker's new ring entrance... but even that interest faded within a minute.

This is the drawback to WWF product having no serious competition: nobody will watch the alternatives, so they don't even try to put together entertaining stuff.
