I watched most of Smackdown! this evening, let my VCR record the last match; William Regal may be over as a character, but he's still pretty dull to watch wrestle.

I was glad that they broke from the tradition of trading victories, by not having Tazz put Maven over... but I like the way they have Maven slowly learning from each match, trying something new.

What this week's SD! also meant was that our own taping here in Montreal will be next week!

Well, RAW Monday was OK... but with all the hype leading up to it, it just didn't quite make it.

Having William Regal turn heel on the WWF, giving Steve Austin a victory, just seemed too nWo-ish. The Alliance doesn't need more people to join, when it has an enormous pool of wasted talents right now.

- and the Hardyz as WCW tag champs? What, will this lead to the 6 billionth match between them and the Dudleys for a title unification?

Sad news: 1wrestling.com reported that "Gentleman" Chris Adams was shot and killed while visiting a former roomate in Waxahachie, Texas.

Chris was most well known as the trainer for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but he was also a legend in the Texas wrestling circuit. He came to national prominence (and was wasted) by WCW in 1998-99.
