WWF signs Credible, Eaton (Taken from Canoe Slam! wrestling).

OK... Bobby Eaton is hard to watch these days, but the fact that he'll be playing a training role rather than an active one is a plus.

Justin Credible though... I think this is yet another nail in ECWs coffin...

I wanted to share this yesterday, but Blogger's bookmarklet is giving me JavaScript errors at the moment...

Wrestlecrap. A site dedicated to giving a glance at all the cheesiest things in the history of the 'sport'.

This is a few days overdue, but: Sean Morley (Val Venis of the WWF, is out mourning the loss of his mother. My heartfelt sympathies.

Returning to the defection of Meng/Haku/King Tonga again, since it is in its own way news... how smart is a company like WCW, awarding a title to a wrestler they don't even have on contract? Did the higher-ups think this would be enticement to stay? "Gosh. The company doesn't value me enough to sign me to a contract, but they gave me a minor title. I guess I want to stay now!" I don't think so!

He isn't a major defection, but like Ron Simmons (Farooq), he's a solid worker who can put on a good match. Atlanta's loss.

Courtesy of the Wrestling-Online newsletter, the Haku situation is solved:

FORMER FEDERATION SUPERSTAR RETURNS

- Just last week, WCW awarded him the Hardcore title. One week later, he finds himself participating as one of the mystery superstars in the 30 man Royal Rumble. The artist now formerly known as Meng is back in the WWF, still using his WWF name, Haku. According to a story on WWF.COM, Jim Ross contacted the man from Tonga to return to the WWF on Wednesday. He was wrestling for WCW without a contract, thus allowing him to jump ship any time he wanted. Haku didn't hesitate to accept the offer - as well as the contract. He was supposed to wrestle for WCW on Saturday night, but gave his Hardcore title to the Barbarian so he can give it back to WCW officials. Haku packed his bags and went to New Orleans. One thing the article outlined is that Haku is here, and here to stay.

I missed part of the Royal Rumble last night (specifically the Rumble itself), but the surprises I read about online today led me to a lot of thought:

Haku

Granted, the man known as Meng in WCW isn't a huge defectee name... but he won the Hardcore title there just last week at Sin. I haven't yet seen a match where he lost it, either.

I suspect this'll lead to some interesting developments over the next little while, though. Is he out of WCW, or was this just a one-time loan? If he is gone from Atlanta, how will they resolve matters for the Hardcore title? Does it even still exist under Eric Bischoff?

I guess we'll get some answers on RAW tonight.
