Of the two shows Smackdown! won as the one worth viewing this week.

It did have some crap, granted: the entire Jillian bit, Eddy Guerrero and the paternity storyline, anything involving JBL ...all come to mind.

The whole 'Peep Show' spot was cool though, we got a good long match from it, and I'm trying to stretch my memory back to when Rey Mysterio finally stopped using those silly contact lenses.

Animal encouraging Heidenreich to put on facepaint this week makes me wonder though: will he be getting him to wear spikes to the ring as well?

Matt Hardy's promo was a real brain fart on RAW this week. On one hand, he says Lita and Kane's wedding was fake, then he treats the current ambulance injury skit as real. Suuure...

Overall, this week was a disappointing show. Snitsjy and Chris Masters get a match, Rob Conway gets a match... but many far more talented wrestlers get nothing. Even as a stunt hotshotting show, it was a wasted 2 hours.

Tatanka showing was a surprise, though he looked out of shape. He's claiming he's been offered a contract now. Someone should tell him about what happened to Marty Jannetty.

It's been 4 days since Smackdown! and I've been trying to think of something positive to say about it.

I can't think of anything.

William Regal against Scotty 2 Hotty was already a pretty blah idea for a match... but using it as a launching point for a food fight by the Mexicools? That made it even more pointless.

Who had the 'bright' idea for Jillian? Bad prosthetics that I at first thought was a hook-up cel phone. I guess it was the same person who came up with the equally stupid Boogeyman gimmick.

The main event... half an hour of the show's air time devoted to that plodding crap. Neither Undertaker or JBL would make a terribly interesting challenger for the World title - but JBL in the main event of Summerslam doesn't exactly entice purchasing the event.

One bright point (I just thought of one!): when USA Network takes over on WWE programming again, I don't know what channel here in Canada will carry Smackdown!. If we don't get it, crap like this also won't make me miss it.
