I just watched this week's episode of Smackdown!.

Vince, read.my.lips: get the hell off the show!

The matches were good, although deserving of greater length. About half an hour of the show was wasted on long speeches by Vince, or skits for Stephanie... where are some of the many workers such time could be better used on? Remember Bill DeMott? How about Spanky or Kanyon (only used for backstage skits this week). I know they had to pull a show together early before going for a tour of Asia... but all these people deserve better than little to no airtime!

I felt in many ways that this week's episode of RAW was a major step back in terms of quality.

The Molly Holly - Gail Kim match was very good for giving us more of an idea of how Gail wrestles... but it was also way too short in my view.

The 6-man elimination tag match, the Dudleys versus Evolution - what was the point? Other than Triple-H squashing three people in one match, there was none. Generally a 6-man match at least allows one team to eliminate one or two of the opponents. That didn't happen here.

Plus, you had nearly 25 minutes wasted for La Resistance to mangle the French National Anthem (instead of wrestling), then for the Dudleys to do the same for the American one. Major wastage of time.

By far the worst thing to me was the interview with Kane. I know they're trying to re-invent him. They tried to explain away his lack of scars (causing a coninuity glitch: the skit a few years ago where the Stooges took off his mask, were grossed out by what they saw). However, the setting fire bit was just downright sick - and Jim Ross isn't a good actgor to even pull it off.

I taped Velocity / Confidential last night for viewing today, as I always do.

How many times will they book Funaki and Albert / A-Train matches on the show before attendees are sick of them?
