I've heard Rick Scaia of Online Onslaught's view on the HBK return and the swerve through the Confidential interviews.

OK, so it was a swerve. Thing is, Confidential is now really the 'Work generator' for the WWE, rather than a show devoted to legitimate interviews. I guess it makes sense now that Gene Okerland is the host, seeing as he spread a load of bull on his phone hotline...

So Tough Enough 2 champion Linda will have her first 'live' match on Velocity this weekend. I guess that makes sense, since Maven was put into matches right away too - but poor Nidia still gets to the ring only as a valet...

This week also drove home the fact yet again that RAW is really getting the short straw for new talent coming in.

A few thoughts on RAW:

* I really don't like Tommy Dreamer's new gimmick. Drinking chewing tobacco spit, the vomit bucket bit... these are simply too disgusting in my view.

* First Shawn Michaels pulls a 180 on his story about the infamous "Montreal screw-job" (I was there, and I'm sick of it!).

This week's Confidential he said that The Heartbreak Kid was done, would never return... and Monday he came back as the newest member of the nWo.

Can you say "Liar and hypocrite"?

TSN showed the season finale of Tough Enough 2 tonight. With the spotlights given on Velocity, Heat and RAW, that makes 4 times in 3 days now we've seen the results.

Having both female contestants win was a surprise, but the way both Kenny and Jake were hyped up, I expect them to get developmental contracts soon anyways.

Jackie in my mind deserved the win. She worked hard, even stayed despite her injury, something no other contestant had done so far.

Linda... what we saw throughout the show was an unlikable person, one I don't think deserved it as much.

Put this in the "Huh?" category: Heat is supposed to be a showcase for the RAW brand. Why then did they feature the Undertaker's beatdown on Triple H, which happened on Smackdown!?

I don't remember if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I think that yesterday I learned the real reason that William Regal was renamed from Steve:

I just moved this week (thus the lack of updates here in a while), and I'm now on a new digital cable service - one that carries ESPN Classics. On that channel they carry Wrestling Classics, really a place to rehash old AWA cards. They don't age well... but that's a different story.

Anyway, yesterday I saw a match with an American wrestler named Steve Regal.

I think that's the reason for the name change, to avoid a mix-up.
