I think the fat lady has sung for ECW: as you've probably read elsewhere, they announced the cancellation of the Living Dangerous PPV for this coming Sunday.

It really isn't a surprise: no venue announced, all the stars signed to new contracts with either the WWF or WCW... short of a video of past matches, there was no way they could have a PPV. If anything, the fact that they waited until the last minute to announce a cancellation was sad.

Maybe ECW can return someday, maybe not. At least we have 7 years of great memories from it.

WCW Releases Crowbar!. I have to echo Chris Sagba's view here: "What the hell are WCW thinking?"

They cut most of the eye candy. They now cut the talented workers. Even harder to fathom: Eric Bishoff wants to push the Cruiserweight division - then fires a guy who could bring lots of flavor to it?

Next: Eric will fire Lance Storm, Mike Awesome and Shane Helms... so he has money free to hire David Flair to a big push. Sheesh.
