Update: Kevin Nash actually has a torn bicep muscle, not just a bruise.

What is a shame is that Perry Saturn is now on the shelf with a blown-out knee. He damaged it at a house show while teaming with Hugh Morris. Plans were for them to become a team similar to the Eliminators, a highlight of Saturn's ECW days with John Kronus.

This would have been a major boon, considering how weak the tag team scene currently is.

Wow. "Big Lazy" Kevin Nash is now on the shelf with bruised muscles. Only problem there: he's had maybe three or four matches, and very low impact ones at that.

He won't be wrestling for a few months now (although many of us would comment, "He actually wrestles?"). It's believed he'll still be on screen in a non-wrestling capacity though, to keep the nWo angle alive.

Still, let's face it: this is really pathetic.

Well, Monday night was the first episode of the new RAW. How did it rate?

The new music/logo/set: I liked them. The set isn't too busy, as the Smackdown! one seems. Compared to the old one, it feels brighter.

Storylines: with only one show done, I can't with any authority rate them. It didn't seem that different to me, just one or two different pairings. That's bound to change over time though.

One interesting change I saw: while the show still stuck to the 6-match maximum format, the matches were longer, given more time to develop - a good thing in my mind.

Some individual match thoughts:

- Eddie Guerrero returned was great, and having him feud with Rob Van Dam will make for some great matches. Both guys are talented workers, and both use the Frog Splash to great effect.

- Why is Mr. Perfect paired off with the heat-killer, Bossman? They were also teamed up for a Jakked taping before RAW in Montreal. They made a mediocre team then; also do now.

- I think it's about time they let Brock Leznar have a match. It's been 3 weeks of TV now that he's just done a run-in to destroy. It's starting to get old.
