I saw WCW Thunder today - or the hour long bastardization we get here in Eastern Canada (seems I'm always behind on shows these days...)

Mike Tenay 'interviewed' Stacey Kiebler (spelling may be wrong; she's Miss Hancock) on the show.

I hope that they are just playing an angle about Tenay being a mean SOB... otherwise, he threw all jounalistic ethics - and any impartiality - out the door here. I came away strongly disliking him.

I hope that was their intent.

I caught up on viewing Smackdown from videotape today (it was a busy week for me; watching wrestling had to wait - so sue me). Watching the Hardcore title match - and first off, I have to say the Hardcore division has made Steve Blackman watchable - two things about this (and other such matches) struck me:

  • Blackman is in danger of becoming like Hulk Hogan soon if he isn't careful.

By that, I don't mean in terms of popularity; what I mean is that he isn't varying his moves enough that we can't call them each time. Already, we can turn to a Blackman Hardcore match and call out "First the trashcan lids! Now the fire extinguisher! Now the fighting sticks!"

It'll get really old if he isn't careful.

  • The 24/7 rule was bad enough with Crash Holly, but the major problem with it is hitting home even more now: having tons of wrestlers interrupt a match to start another leaves the matches unable to get any rhythmic flow going. It gets too hard to follow, quickly.

After about an hour of tweeking the files (geek-boy at work!), this Blog is now finally active!

There's still a lot of work ahead... I still have to fix up the Archive function, and one I have everything worked out, this will also be a Public Blog to get more exposure for it, so you'll have the Blogger icon as well.

For now, enjoy the more frequent updates!
