Granted, I remain blase about several of the Hart brothers in the ring (Bruce has zero charisma; Ross and Keith had lesser talent; Bret... won't go there; rest in peace Owen) - but the fact remains that many of today's stars got their first breaks in Stampede.

This promotion has been a legend in Canada. I hope they succeed.

(I tried posting this yesterday, but Blogger crashed on me; a pre-April Fool's Day stunt I guess... so, I'll restart, and add/change some things.)

Well, we're now the day of Wrestlemania. Some small things have changed, some additions have been made too:

First off, Corporal Kirschner is no longer appearing for the Gimmick Battle Royal. Too bad... after his stint in the mid-to-late 1980s, he seems to have vanished off the radar.

Added have been Gillberg (a joke battle, he should have been one of the early entries!) and Jim Cornette (who I personally think is a legend of the 'sport').

People I wish they'd added: Mantaur (that bull head was a hoot), Man Mountain Rock, Ludvig Borgia (an evil Fin... that was too surreal) and Wrestlecrap Hall of Fame-er, Bastian Booger.

Also added: Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerland. Both were part of really "old school" WWF. Both are well past their best years... let's see what they add.

There are also strong rumors now that some top WCW will appear; the rumor is that 10 of them have been requested to come to Houston, and to bring titles if they have them.

No doubt, this is the most talked about Wrestlemania in years... and it likely will from the positive- or negative-fallout for several weeks afterwards... let's all hope it's on the positive side.
