Chris Benoit as first draft pick for Smackdown! is slightly anti-climactic, for the fact that he was already there. I'd like to see newer talents brought to the brand.

In terms of wrestling quality though, he'll add tremendously to the roster talent. Whoever they put him in the ring with, he can make an entertaining match. Plus: he wasn't really getting used for anything on RAW anymore. Here's a former World champion, barely now a mid-carder. Hopefully he'll get used better now.

John Cena on RAW... in some ways, his draft was WWE really blowing their wad - but it also builds up some potential storylines of interest:

I don't see them keeping both the World and WWE titles on one show, so either HHH will win at Vengeance and then be drafted, or Batista wins (Ghod, I hope so!) and he then gets drafted - or Cena loses the title back, or they pull another "multiple trade" deal to get him back.

However they do it, he really needed the fresh playing field. He's faced pretty much all the Smackdown! roster - and in the case of Rene Dupree, far too many times.

Losing the World title to SD! would give Edge more to act bitter about... and having Christian drafted now would make his wanted feud against Cena a bust. Primo stuff!

Based on the mixed cheers and boos last night, I don't think Cena is as welcome on RAW now as he would have been last year. I think his 15 minutes are nearly up.

The Chris Masters-Val Venis match wasn't as bad as expected - but the fact we mostly had Venis doing the work I think helped.

As a real cool moment on the show though: the run-in by all the ECW stars there was amazing. I narked out for that!
