I had a thought while watching RAW, one that other writers have had as well:

Mick Foley announced several title unification matches for Survivor Series: a unification match for Edge's WCW US Championship with Test's WWF IC Championship, and yet another of the endless matches between the Hardy Boyz and the Dudleys, this to unify the two tag-team championships.

The thing is, the Main Event is supposed to be an 'All or Nothing' bout, where either the WWF or the Alliance are out of business.

Why then unify titles if one of the feds holding them is supposed to be defunct?

Just another example of how badly Vince McMahon bungled this whole storyline.

Wrestling Observer - headlines. Goodbye Latino Heat...

The staff cutbacks at WWF offices made the news. They were that significant to the media...

Meanwhile, road agents finally voiced their concerns to Vince McMahon that the wrestling product was currently disappointing. Seems they felt it for awhile now, but were too scared of Vince to say so.

Let me understand this: McMahon is supposed to be a brilliant man - yet when his bottom line - ratings, buy rates for PPVs and ring attendance - have been getting worse and worse for months now... and almost evvery statement online is how bad the WWF has become... he still needed others to tell him what he should already know?
