I was on a trip over 2000 miles away until last Tuesday. Hopefully it has recharged my mental batteries!

Repeating their actions last year, WWE released a large group of wrestlers and TV personalities.

The biggest shock was all 3 of the Dudleyz - Bubba Ray, D-Von and Spike. All three made significant contributions to the federation over the years, and very likely have great things to come. Scummier is the fact that Bubba Ray and D-Von were coming off a well-deserved vacation to heal up longterm nagging injuries.

Billy Kidman was a surprise... but the fact that injuries have kept him on the sidelines for a long time made it likely.

Matt Morgan was a shame, what with all the development and training put into him. He'll make a very talented acquisition as a big man to someone else.

Mark Jindrak had a lot of potential - but he was wrecked by saddling him with a dumb gimmich that wouldn't get him over with the fans.

Charlie Haas - they keep Bob Holly but cut him? Which was a more talented individual do you think? Not a tough guess there.

Dawn Marie - yeah, they had no story ideas for her, but pink slip a woman while she's pregnant. Pretty scummy to me.

Shannon Moore - as soon as he started this stupid "Prince of Punk" gimmick, I thought his days were numbered.

Akio - another big talent loss.

Kenzo Suzuki and Mark Lloyd - I was never terribly impressed by Kenzo, so him being cut right after drafting him to RAW wasn't a surprise. Lloyd... did anyone like him since he showed up? I don't think so.

Marty Jannetty and Gangrel - here are two guys they cut from OVW, not even getting back to the big show.

Speaking of OVW: Jim Cornette was fired, though for different reasons. From the sound of it, he's gone nuts. Ironically the guy whose gimmick led to his dismissal (The Boogyman) will very soon be brought up.

There were many other cuts - 20 in all - but when you consider how some talented folks were fired while useless wastes like Chris Masters, Gene Snitsky, John Heidenreich and Viscera still have work... well, you know the Powers that Be are insane themselves.
