Wrestling news the last few days seems to be centered on lawsuit results, suspensions, and an annoying movie rumor...

First: in the lawsuit news: Marcus Alexander Bagwell pleaded no contest in his case as prosecution case from his attack on a WCW employee a few months back. Personally, I think he should have gotten a stiffer punishment: wrestlers over 200 pounds beating on crewmen of lesser size are just bullies in my book.

On the suspension end: "Road Dogg" Jesse James is now on an indefinite suspension, according to Jim Ross. No concrete reasons have been given, but there are rumors that he came to Smackdown tapings in very shabby state, and unfit conditions to make television. If true, it sounds as if his drug use (alleged, mind you) is out of control right now.

I guess this puts the kibbosh on his rapping tag-team gimmick with K Qwikk - not that many people will be upset with that. It has quickly become an annoying gimmick to many.

This will probably put K Qwikk to work as a singles wrestler. I don't mind that; he's got a lot of agility, and if he can learn to do more in the ring than the 3 or so spots he's repeated in every match, he'll be fun to watch.

On the annoying front: there are strong rumors that Lash Laroux from WCW is in the running to play Gambit in X-Men 2.

I've made no bones of the fact that he annoys me... I now have to shake the image of Gambit showing the team how his sideburns are growing all of the time. Bleh.
